My Ten Bookish Goals for 2018

Welcome to another round of Top Ten Tuesday: a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl  This week's theme is ten bookish resolutions/goals for 2018. Let's list some goals then!  This year, I want to:  1.  Devote more time to reading This is as good a time as any to announce that I cancelled my subscription to Netflix (oh my!) so this should leave me with enough hours each week to sit down and read. I still have Viaplay to get my X-Files and Buffy fix. 2. Read at my own pace 3. Read one book at a time 4. Be more consistent with my reading journal 5. Loan more books at the library 6. Finish the series I'm already in the middle of before starting new series  In 2018 I also want to read more: 7. Classic sci fi 8. Non-fiction  9. Classics  Which all boils down to my ultimate 2018 reading goal: 10.  To only read books that I'm interested in.  So, what are your readin...

New Year, Old Me

Last year, I made ten New Year's resolutions, and I wrote about them on this blog. The trick was to keep every resolution as realistic and doable as possible. Did it work? Well, today I want to find out. So last year, I promised that I would... 1. ... not stress myself out with silly unnecessary challenges. Done! While I didn't read as many new releases as I was wanted, I did discover a number of...

Today, I give you my top ten resolutions for 2016. Some of them are bookish, others not so much. And, as it always is with with new year resolutions, it's just for fun. Isn't it? In 2016, I resolve to... 1. ... not stress myself out with silly unnecessary challenges. If you go to my Goodreads page, you'll see that I signed up for the annual, frigging, reading challenge. You will also see that my "goal" is to read twelve books this year . I can read way more than twelve (obviously!), but this lazy number really takes the pressure off, doesn't it? At the end of the day, I just want to keep track of my reading progress. 2. ... spoil myself with more books. Which simply means, "to buy more books". New books. Books in pretty covers. Books that smell like nerd heaven. 3. ... read more new books. I'm so bad at staying up to date with the new releases and newbie authors. If it weren't for this blog I'd still be reading nothing ...
